USS Enterprise is an American aircraft carrier from the Second World War. Its name means "enterprising", "darts" and "full of energy". It was the seventh ship to bear this honorable name in the US Navy. Colloquially he was called "Big E". He served very actively in the Pacific throughout the war with Japan. He was awarded as many as 20 stars for combat operations.
The USS Enterprise was commissioned in May 1938. It was equipped with 8 universal guns of 127 mm caliber. During the war, new, more effective small-caliber anti-aircraft guns and large-caliber machine guns were constantly replaced and added. The aircraft carrier was also equipped with the most modern air surveillance radars, radio altimeter and rangefinders. USS Enterprise took with it, depending on the period, between 70 and 91 aircraft. These were fighters, dive bombers and torpedo planes.
Official statistics confirm that 911 enemy planes were shot down by planes and on-board artillery. His dive bombers and torpedo planes contributed to the sinking of 71 enemy ships and ships and damaged another 192. USS Enterprise operated in the Pearl Harbor area in the initial phase of the war. It covered the aircraft carrier Hornet during the first raid on Tokyo (Doolittle raid). As a flagship, she took part in the Battle of Midway, in which planes from American carriers led to the sinking of four Japanese carriers. It was badly damaged during the fighting in the Solomon Islands. After the renovation at Pearl Harbor, he returned to hostilities, supporting amphibious operations and taking part in the bombing of Japanese targets. He took part in the great battle of the Philippine Sea. An operation group with the Enterprise in its composition contributed to the sinking of the super battleship Musashi. On February 10, 1945, the Enterprise supported the landing and fighting on Iwo Jima. The end of the war found the Enterprise in the Puget Sound Navy Yard where it was being renovated after one of the kamikaze suicide attacks.

What are pre-orders? Pre-orders, are an order for a product placed before it is available for purchase.
What are back-orders? Back-Orders allow you to place an order for a product, that is temporarily out of stock.
How much are pre-orders / back-orders? Prices may vary slighlty (from what was paid on the day of the order). Whilst we try to maintain the lowest possible price, factors such as supplier price and exchange rate fluctuations, could affect the final price when we receive it in store.
Note: Pre-orders could in some cases be a deposit price, without any knowledge of a final price from the Supplier or Manufacturer. In all cases you will be notified if there is a significant price change, from what was originally paid, before shipping.
How long do I have to wait for my pre-order / back-order? All
orders will be shipped once stock has arrived and full payment has been made, with the exception of Manufacturer Release Dates on some Pre-order Products. Waiting time depends on many factors, which are mostly out of our control. They could be for example, Manufacturing delays (due to global pandemics), Supplier shortages, or shipping delays.
Why am I being charged for my pre-order/back-order, even though the product isn’t released/re-stocked yet? This
is pre-payment for an item's payment and delivery costs that isn’t released yet to ensure as soon as it arrives your order can be fulfilled and sent out to you a.s.a.p. Not all orders will be charged shipping depending on size, and total order amount (see our website for current shipping to find out more and our shipping policy for more information).
