Notably, it swapped identities with 6152 ‘King’s Dragoon Guardsman’ to attend the 1933 Century of Progress Exhibition in Chicago. As BR 46100, it was rebuilt with a taper boiler in 1950, withdrawn in 1962, and returned to the main line in 2016.
