BRANCHLINE OO9 Baldwin Class 10-12-D 542 WW1 ROD Black . DCC Ready (Next18) . NEM Couplings.

The Baldwin Class 10-12-D is a narrow gauge 4-6-0 pannier tank steam locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in the USA for the British War Department Light Railways for service in France during World War I. They were built in 1916-1917 to 600 mm (1 ft 11 5⁄8 in) gauge.

The British War Office decided to adopt the type as its principal military steam locomotive, and Baldwin started production in 1916, building 495 locomotives between October 1916 and April 1917. Some of the class found their way to other theatres of war than Europe and nine were lost at sea. After the war many of these locomotives were sold and went on to work in France, Britain and India.

British narrow-gauge railways which used them included Welsh Highland Railway, Glyn Valley Tramway, Snailbeach District Railways and Ashover Light Railway. Four Baldwin Class 10-12-D locomotives have been preserved in the UK.

Order before 11am, and your item will ship same day (Australia Only)

NOTE - If your order is coming from more than one location: We suggest you order with Standard Shipping rather than Express (this is due in part to transportation time between stores to get your order combined and sent from 1 location which will delay your "express" postage option).

What are pre-orders?
Pre-orders are as the name suggests, placing an advanced pre-release order on an item. This means that the order you are placing is for the future release of a product that has yet to be released, or re-stocked.

How much are pre-orders?
Pre-order prices are defined at the time based off what we initially received from the manufacturer. This means that when we receive the product (to send to you), manufacturing costs, taxes, and even economic shifts in the country of the manufacturer, could affect the final price when we receive it in store. So, we suggest you use the price shown only as a point of reference, as it may not be derivative of the final price when it is received and ready to be sent to you.

How long do I have to wait for my pre-order?
The wait time depends on the release date of the pre-order product, and the time you placed your order. Pre-order release times also vary per product, per manufacturer, transportation and many other factors. If a release date is given from the manufacturer, please note that this is still subjective due to circumstances out of our control, and this isn’t indicative of our in-store stock date this could be a day or two after the release date.

Why am I being charged for my pre-order, even though the product isnt released yet?
This is pre-payment for an item's payment and delivery costs that isn’t released yet (pre-order) to ensure as soon as it arrives your order can be fulfilled and sent out to you a.s.a.p. Not all orders will be charged shipping depending on size, and total order amount (see our website for current shipping to find out more and our shipping policy for more information).
