Features

4-Link Suspension

A specially designed 4-link suspension setup is used in combination with the twin vertical plate chassis, reducing axle swing and eliminating side-to-side movement for increased steering and maneuvering precision. 7mm diameter aluminum lower links are hard anodized and triangulated to the center of the chassis for better balance front to rear when the suspension starts to twist.

Zero Ackerman Steering

Designed with the demanding conditions of competition rock crawling in mind, the steering system on the Comp Crawler provides precise control as well as class leading performance with 45 degrees of steering throw. The front caster blocks feature 10 degrees of caster and the spindles are attached with heavy duty steel king pins. The steering geometry also allowed Team Losi Racing engineers to raise the main steering link closer to the axle housing, giving the Crawler additional clearance when approaching obstacles.

Beadlock Wheels

Just like full-size crawlers, the 1/10 Comp Crawler utilizes functional bead lock wheels with aluminum outer rings. The functioning bead lock allows for the tires to maintain more contact and traction, while the aluminum outer rings provide evenly distributed pressure for unbeatable tire mounting.

Losi Rock Claws

Losi equipped the 1/10 Comp Crawler with National Champion Rock Claws 2.2 Tires, giving you the ability to aggressively attack uneven and rocky terrain. The creative multi-edged tread design enhances traction by simultaneously gripping in multiple planes on uneven surfaces, much like that of fingers gripping a rock. The large lug design also helps in cleaning itself from mud and dirt giving enhanced traction in these types of conditions.

Aluminum Threaded Shocks

The high performance, durable 4″ aluminum threaded shocks provide the suspension travel needed for optimum articulation over any terrain or course, and the Titanium Nitride (TiNi) shock shafts ensure smooth, predictable operation without binding.

Aluminum Suspension Links

Alloy lower suspension links with captured ends offer exceptional durability and hold, preventing disconnection over any terrain. The links also add to the realistic look of the Comp Crawler by emulating the appearance of full-size suspension links.

Telescoping CV Driveshafts

By combining the solid axle design with CV axle shafts in the front end, the Comp Crawler has an unparalleled combination of durability and maximum steering throw, ensuring the ability to maneuver over, out of or around the tightest courses and biggest obstacles.

Adjustable Upper Shock Mounts

Multiple shock mounting positions allow the user to adjust droop and angles without having to do any significant disassembly.

TVP Chassis

The 1/10 Comp Crawler’s Twin Vertical Plate (TVP) chassis offers unbeatable stability and rigidity in a durable, lightweight design. The result is confident handling over any terrain and outstanding suspension articulation. And Team Losi Racing has gone one step further, by offering this innovative crawling chassis pre-built and tuned right out of the box. All you have to do is add the electronics of your choice.

Dig Center Transmission The 1/10 Comp Crawler is the first crawler in the industry to offer both a front and rear locking DIG center transmission. This feature allows the front or rear drive axles to be disengaged to act as a steering brake, thus allowing the Comp Crawler to overtake tricky obstacles with ease.

Solid Axle With Worm Gear Drive The 1/10 Comp Crawler features a front and rear solid axle with a worm gear drive. The worm gear functions as a braking device while the power supply is idle, however when power is supplied the efficient design of the worm gear eliminates “torque twist” which commonly occurs in shaft driven rock crawlers. The heat treated steel worm gear also utilizes a smaller gear assembly, thereby maximizing ground clearance under the axle housing.

Multi-Link Suspension Design The 1/10 Comp Crawler features a 4 link suspension layout. With this 4 link design the axle has almost zero side-to-side axle swing, thus providing constant and precise suspension movement. This means that when the Comp Crawler travels over an obstacle you will experience nearly zero axle swing or wheel base shift.

45 Degree Steering Angle The 1/10 Comp Crawler features a steering geometry with zero Ackerman steering, which allows the Comp Crawler to have a class leading 45 degrees of steering angle. The Comp Crawler utilizes RCD CV style drive axles with heavy duty 4.5mm axle shafts to continue to put the power down to the wheels while turning at this extreme angle.
